Who we are
Blackacre is an independent firm of Chartered Surveyors & Valuers, regulated by the RICS. Our directors bring extensive experience and a holistic understanding of buildings and the property market, which lets us advise across a genuinely broad range of work — from building surveys and commercial due diligence to valuations and development advice.
The firm was founded by Ben Salvage after a successful career across London’s commercial and residential property sectors, working within a number of highly respected building consultancies. He brings that expertise to Blackacre, alongside co-director Simon Ly, who leads the valuation side of the practice. Between them they cover the two halves of what a modern surveying practice needs to do well: understand buildings, and understand what they’re worth.
What we do
Our work spans two complementary disciplines, led by the directors themselves:
Building surveying
Led by Ben Salvage. RICS Level 3 surveys, commercial technical due diligence, listed buildings, defects & damp, party walls, dilapidations, measured surveys and neighbourly matters — the full breadth of building consultancy.
Valuation & advisory
Led by Simon Ly. RICS Red Book valuations for residential and commercial property, secured lending, probate and tax, lease advisory, and financial viability assessments for development.
